Just like that, 2022 is here, and with a new year comes a huge range of new technology. When it comes to TVs, we see incredible advancements year on year from the likes of the well-known brands LG, Samsung and Sony as well as newer brands in the market such as Hisense.

With so many options, it can be difficult to know what’s best, so we have created this blog to help you out. Here we will list our top TVs for 2022 so far, as well as what we can expect in terms of new technology that is set to be released throughout this year.  We will continually update this blog as new TVs are released throughout 2022.

This awesome TV combines many of the features in the above TV with stunning OLED visuals. The self-lit pixels enable breathtaking contrast, sharpness and true blacks. You can even enjoy 100% colour volume and 100% colour fidelity, ensuring the colours you see are pure and accurate. Settings such as AI Picture Pro and AI sound pro as well as Dolby Vision and Dolby IQ intelligently adjust images to provide you with the highest quality possible.

An OLED is also perfect for sports as the individually lit pixels can rapidly switch off, resulting in incredibly sharp visuals with low motion blur, whilst sports mode means that even if you aren’t watching the game, you won’t miss any updates.

Multiple voice assistants enable you to simply speak to the TV to control it, which means even if the remote is stuck behind the back of the sofa you can still unwind and watch TV after a long day and worry about finding the remote later.

Plus, even if the content isn’t filmed in 4K, the Hisense’s upscaling ability allows you to enjoy it in 4K quality.

Enjoy incredible colour accuracy when watching nature documentaries, allowing you to experience the most realistic imagery. Or enjoy sports mode when watching a big game, which automatically reduces motion blur so that you don’t miss a trick on screen. It’s not just the visuals that are incredible, as DTS studio sound provides pretty awesome audio.

A pretty cool and unique feature on this TV is its stand, which allows you to effortlessly adjust the width, meaning you can choose a wider option to accommodate a soundbar or a narrow option if the TV is placed on top of a smaller cabinet.




TV technologies we can expect in 2022:

We are expecting new TV ranges to be launched in March/April this year from Samsung, Hisense, LG and more, as this is the time that many brands refresh their ranges. Some of the new technologies and panel types are being announced at CES currently, including new OLED panels from Samsung and LG.

It has just been announced that LG are planning to release the OLED.EX panels in April 2022, which will provide increased brightness, responsiveness and more. There has also been information leaked on Samsungs QD-OLED TV, which is set to be the world’s first true RGB self-emitting Quantum Dot OLED display. Is it better, the same, or worse than OLED?’.We are also excited to see whether Samsung TVs will be able to hit 144Hz when connected to an Nvidia 30-series GPU, which is rumoured.

We also see Sony showing off their A95K consumer-ready QD-OLED screen which is set to have 200% colour saturation when compared with an LED-LCD screen. It is also said to have improved viewing angles, black levels and even support for 4K Gaming at 120Hz.

Meanwhile, Hisense are expected to continue creating a series of TVs that hit every price point and offer a range of leading features.
