Say hello to the latest product in the Logitech gaming headset range, the Logitech G435 Wireless Gaming Headset. This wireless gaming headset offers great sound quality, comfort, portability and an eye-catching design - all for a budget-friendly price.

In this review, we talk you through every step of our experience with the headset, from unboxing to gaming, so you can decide whether this is the ideal gaming headset for you.

Unboxing & setup of the Logitech G435

Key Features

  • Zero plastic packaging
  • Fast and easy setup
Upon unboxing the headset, we loved the way that Logitech have embraced their green initiative, by using zero plastics in their packaging. This is pretty cool as it makes all of the packaging easily recyclable.

Inside the box, we have an instruction manual, USB dongle and USB to USB-C cable. The headphones were ready to go right out of the box, all we had to do was go through a simple setup and plug the dongle in and we were ready to go. Alternatively for phone pairing, it was a simple Bluetooth pairing experience.

Design Features on the Logitech G435 headset

Key Features

  • Range of eye-catching colours
  • Lightweight and compact
  • Braille lettering
  • No Audio Jack
Design-wise, these headphones have been developed as the ultimate lightweight audio companion. We loved the bold combination of electric blue and hot pink for that extra touch of character. But the colour combinations don’t stop there, as you can also find lilac and white as well as black and neon yellow.

When it comes to portability and comfort, these headphones did not disappoint. They are ultra-lightweight at just 165 grams and have a super-compact design, making them easy to fold away and carry around in your bag. It is worth noting that they are a little on the smaller side, so may not be ideal for those looking for a large headset.

The control buttons are placed on the back and sides of the earpiece, and are evenly spaced out with have a raised elongated shape, making them easy to reach and manipulate. This headset is missing an audio jack, but this isn't much of a problem considering this is designed as a wireless headset.

You can see a subtle strip of plastic on the inside of the headband which is labelled with an L and R, which made it easy to ensure the headphones were on the right way.

Which headphones have braille?

The Logitech G435 headphones have considered how visually impaired users interact with their headphones by incorporating the L and R in braille on the outside of the earpiece, allowing easy confirmation on the correct orientation for the first time with touch alone.

Is the Logitech G435 Wireless Headset comfortable?

Key Features

  • Breathable mesh broadband
  • Soft foam earpieces
  • Fully adjustable via sliding system
We loved the two-toned mesh-covered headband, which effortlessly combines style with functionality as it feels soft and breathable, offering comfort on long gaming sessions. Plus, the intricate blue and pink woven pattern on this headband gives off a fantastic illusion of changing colours, fitting in nicely to the gaming aesthetic.

The earpieces are made of soft foam, covered in a nice breathable mesh that stops your ears from getting too hot.

The cushioned earpieces work well when distributing overall pressure as after a few hours of wearing them, I didn’t feel any irritation or soreness on my ear as they are entirely nestled inside the cup. They feel quite flexible and firm while still allowing a good amount of pressure for blocking out any surrounding sound.

Inside the earpiece, there’s no internal mesh covering the opening to the speakers, instead, there’s a hard plastic inside with a classic dot pattern revealing a little of the mechanics inside. Whilst this did feel a little unusual, I quite liked that there was no barrier between my ear and the sound output, giving me that untapped sound quality.

This headset is also completely adjustable so I could find the perfect fit via a sliding system. This tackles a problem that is quite common, finding a headset that fits you perfectly, so it’s great to see that every head size from larger to small has been accommodated with this.

Does the Logitech G435 Headset have a microphone?

Key Features

  • Dual beamforming microphones
  • No mic in front of your face
  • Background noise minimised
Yes, the Logitech uses dual beamforming microphones rather than a mic that sits right in front of your mouth. This was pretty awesome as it meant I didn’t have anything in front of my face. Plus, it needs less maintenance and offers a more hygienic solution to traditional mics.

The quality from the boom dual beamforming mics was really good as every word I said could be heard clearly and background noise was minimised.

How long does the battery last on the Logitech G435 wireless headset?

Key Features

  • Up to 16 hours playback time from Logitech
  • Played for hours with no signs of running out
Logitech has suggested an impressive 16 hours of playback time. I left them on charge for a good couple of hours to get an idea of the lifespan. I then listened to music and used them to game for around 5 hours straight and they didn’t even show signs of running low, which is pretty impressive.

Which devices does the Logitech G435 headset work on?

Key Features

  • USB dongle for PC or gaming laptop
  • Bluetooth compatibility for phone or tablet
These headphones were easily paired with my phone and tablet via Bluetooth, making them a great companion for travelling or long journeys. They also worked well with my gaming laptop, PC and PS5.

Is the Logitech G435 compatible with the Xbox?

Whilst this headset is compatible with a huge range of devices from the PS5 to PC and smartphones, unfortunately, the Logitech G435 is not compatible with the Xbox at the moment.

Is the Logitech G435 good for gaming?

Key Features

  • Lightspeed connection
  • Wireless and virtually lag-free
  • 40mm gaming-grade audio drivers
This headset was brilliant for gaming audio. I loved the lightspeed connection, which allowed me to enjoy reliable and high-performance audio consistently when gaming. This was ideal when playing esports or other online games as I was enjoying the audio that ran in tandem with my games super-fast response times. Giving me perfectly synched audio and helped give me a competitive advantage in faced paced games where split-second audio counts.

The wireless element on the headphones gave me freedom of movement as well as comfort, which helped me to get more immersed in the game. I didn’t notice any lag which is great as this can sometimes be a concern with wireless headphones.

I experienced high-quality sound when gaming, which is probably thanks to the 40mm gaming-grade audio drivers to help achieve that full, rich sound for gaming.

Is the Logitech G435 Ideal for music?

  • Good sound blocking
  • Nicely balanced audio
  • Decent bass
These headphones also impressed me when it came to listening to music, as the audio was nicely balanced and gave pretty decent bass.

As the cups completely covered my ears, I couldn’t hear any external noise thanks to a pocket of sound that came out nice and clear even on high volume.

After testing these for most of the day, I was genuinely impressed with the audio quality on such a lightweight, wireless pair of headphones. They were not only comfortable but gave great sound quality with virtually no lag. And the best bit about these wireless gaming headsets is the super affordable and budget-friendly price!
