What is Sony Bravia core?

Sony BRAVIA CORE (Centre of Real Entertainment) is Sony’s new streaming service, delivering a huge range of movies, TV shows and extra content exclusively to owners of the latest BRAVIA XR TV’s...for free!

How does Sony BRAVIA CORE's service work?

Sony's brand new streaming service offers incredible value-added on the BRAVIA XR TVs, with both free unlimited content and credit-based content.

Each Movie credit allows you to redeem one movie, and different TV’s come with a varying amount of credits (for example the Z9J and A90J offer 10 movie credits whilst the rest of the range offer 5). Why have they used a credit system? Well, this is because this streaming service is completely free and currently has no way of taking payment, so you would be unable to pay for additional content, hence why the credit system is a perfect solution.

Content on BRAVIA CORE has been optimised specifically for Sony BRAVIA TV’s, offering a seamless and streamlined pairing between the content itself and the device it’s being watched on.

Additionally, BRAVIA CORE has Pure Stream, which provides streaming at up to 80Mbps, lossless 4K quality and HDR as well as unbelievable multichannel audio with DTS. The quality can be comparable to a UHD Blu-Ray and therefore offers significantly better quality than most popular streaming services. Pure Stream can be easily enabled through the settings, and once it’s on you don’t need to worry about it again as it stays on and adapts itself to your streaming.

Incredible quality, however, means that this service recommends a minimum of 43mbps and speeds of over 115mbps to fully enjoy lossless quality.
