Streams: I stream a variety of games, Community Monday (such as Mario Kart), story time Tuesday which is a long play of a game like Detroit Become Human, Tell-Tale series etc. Final Fantasy, 3rd person shooting games! I spend a day focusing on procreate art for relaxing and unwind streams.



Hi Cassie! Tell us three fun facts about yourself.

Hi!!
  1. I feel that Biker Mice from Mars was one of the best shows ever and I want it desperately to come back.
  2. My favourite game of all time has to be Zelda: Ocarina of Time (I really want SSX tricky to make a come back too)
  3. When I get awkward I laugh, you can imagine how funerals go. (On reflection I don’t think that’s a fun fact but we are keeping it)

When did your streaming journey begin, and what inspired you to start?

I started as a games writer for my website and I used to review indie games for devs so I would play online. Then I started playing Hearthstone on my potato laptop and internet. My friend gave me a challenge to get to level 10; as he was in Thailand at the time he asked me to stream it! The first stream I did I got a ton of sexism and racism- so I quit; I ended up saying, “nope, let me do this for me” and 2 years or so later I’m a twitch partner!!

What's your favourite game/content to stream/share? What do you enjoy most about it?

I love a good story game; something that really leaves an impact. I think Square Enix did fantastically with that with Life is Strange. Detroit Become Human and Hellblade:Senua’s Sacrifice have been my favourite to stream recently- just how much the whole community was invested in the outcome. As long as you can get immersed in a game- whether it is an FPS game or a MMORPG that’s all that matters.

Do you feel like there is a stigma for women streamers in the industry?

Hmm, for me I think that... I don’t care about that anymore- I’m tired of asking for things; we need to start kicking in the door and talking out more, having people that say they advocate for us show us in their actions. Men we game with need to start Helping us drown out the voices of the broken mic troll in the lobbies- literally and figuratively. Gaming spaces need to have more women (of all backgrounds) included in them, so they can feed into development, marketing processes. Also less segregation of what the definition of what a woman is. Trans women are women.

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to women who want to begin streaming?

There is no right way of streaming (as long as it’s within TOS) - you don’t have to be like anyone else. Comparison is often the thief of joy so do what you enjoy. You want to stream in a vest top? Do it. You want to stream with the camera off? Do it. You gaming is what makes you a gamer. Screw the gatekeeping.
