Ninebot ZING E10 Kids Electric Scooter Review

 



Today we're taking a look at the new Segway Zing E10 kids electric scooter! The E10 is suitable for kids between the ages of 8-14, as is part of Segway's brand new kids range. Driving Modes

With this scooter you can choose from 3 modes, which can be done by pressing the power button once the electric scooter is turned on. Segway have made it so easy to know which mode you’re in with the light indicators underneath the footpad.

If you’re new to riding, you can feel comfortable with the safe mode which shows a red light. This allows you to use the thumb throttle to control speed and it slowly accelerates up to just 6.2 mph.

If you are feeling more confident, you can kick off in to riding and reach speeds of 10mph in the cruise mode, which shows a blue light.

And for expert riders, you can use the thumb throttle to reach speeds of 10mph in turbo mode, which displays multi-coloured lights.

Design

This slim scooter weighs just 8.5 kilos and it smoothly folds away, making it super easy to carry and go, or to store away. Segway have designed this Ninebot to have a low profile, which increases stability by having a low centre of gravity, so you can have an even smoother ride.

The E10 scooter has spring based shock absorbers which help to take the hit on rough or bumpy surfaces such as sand grass and dirt to enhance your riding experience.

The safety features on the scooter have been enhanced with the reflective sticker to improve visibility, as well as a 3 brake system which is comprised from a manual handbrake, electronic front brake and a rear fender brake. It also has a silicone footpad and thermo plastic rubber handles for increased grip.

Maintenance 

When it comes to maintenance, the E10 has made this effortless with the easy to clean footpad and handlebars, as well as maintenance free rubber tyres, so you can have as much fun as possible whilst not having to worry about the upkeep of the scooter.


Battery Life

This scooter has a smart battery management system as well as an integrated battery design to give riders power and battery life, which can allow you to ride up to 6.2 miles! It has a max charge time of just 4 hours and battery indicator lights to avoid the unwanted surprise of a drained battery. 

Overall, this scooter has been well designed to put all the things you need from a kids scooter with a focus on safety, and it is perfect for its suitable age range of 8-14 year olds.
