We are so excited about this scooter as it’s as its part of Segway’s first kid’s electric scooter range. The E8 is suitable for 6-12 year olds, and it’s available in two gorgeous colours a pastel pink and cobalt blue.

Driving Modes

With the e8, you can choose from 3 modes which can be easily done by pressing the power button once the electric scooter is turned on. 

If you’re new to riding, you can feel comfortable with the safe mode, which allows you to use the thumb throttle to control speed and it slowly accelerates up to just 6mph. 

If you are feeling more confident, you can reach speeds of 8.7 mph in the cruise mode. 

And for those expert riders, you can use the thumb throttle to reach speeds of 8.7mph in turbo mode. 

The top speed has been created with thought to the suitable age so that 6-12 year olds can enjoy riding an electric scooter within a safe speed range. 

Scooter Design

The E8's slim body weighs just 7.9 kilos and smoothly folds away, making it super easy to carry and go, or to store away. Segway have designed this Ninebot to have a low profile, which increases stability by having a low centre of gravity, so you can have an even smoother ride without worry of falling over.

For a smooth and comfortable ride, this scooter has spring based shock absorbers which help to take the hit on rough or bumpy surfaces such as sand, grass and dirt to enhance your riding experience.


Safety Features

The safety features on the scooter have been enhanced with the reflective sticker to increase visibility, as well as a 3 brake system which is comprised from a manual handbrake, electronic front brake and a rear fender brake. It also has a sandpaper style footpad and thermo plastic rubber handles for improved grip. 

Maintenance and Tyres

When it comes to upkeep, the E8 has maintenance free rubber tyres and easy to clean handlebars, which is great for those who want to enjoy the benefits of an electric scooter without worrying about maintenance.

Battery and Charging

This scooter has a smart battery management system as well as an integrated battery design to give riders power and battery life, which can allow a fun ride up to 6.2 miles. It has 55.08 Wh 2550 mAh and it has a max charge time of just 4 hours, so the fun can begin again in no time! It also has battery indicator lights, so you always know when charging is needed.

Overall, this scooter has been well designed to put all the things you need from a kids scooter at the forefront; safety, experience and ease of usability, and it's designed to consider all factors that make it the perfect electric scooter for 6-12 year olds.
